In a captivating discussion with hosts Lex & Patricia, Prof Pankaj Sah talks about unravelling the mysteries of the brain. Prof Sah is Director of the Queensland Brain Institute at The University of Queensland where research discoveries, among them the use of ultrasound, show future promise for treating dementia and reversing cognitive decline in humans.

Following his own Alzheimer’s diagnosis, rugby league legend Royce Simmons (pictured) used his story to help others with dementia and, to date, Royce’s Big Walk has raised over half a million dollars. The former Penrith Panthers hooker talks in Nostalgia Town about his early years and the road from the bush to stardom on the footy field.

Ken White from PSFM 100.09 at picturesque Port Stephens NSW joins us for Steppin’ Out. On retirement to the coast, Ken joined the community radio station and became a DJ in his 70s. His volunteer efforts include a 40-year commitment to Lifeline as a crisis support worker.
