For World Sight Day on 13 October, we turn our attention to the conditions that can affect the eye – from the readily treatable to those that cause blindness.

Renowned ophthalmologist and senior university lecturer, Dr Con Petsoglou joins Lex & Patricia to talk about eye problems caused by ageing as well as those which are hereditary.

Living treasure, the Rev Bill Crews AM (pictured) joins us in Nostalgia Town. The much-loved Australian, who has spent his entire adult life in the service of others, is a passionate supporter of the homeless and the needy.

Have you got a financial plan? In Money Extra Rachel Waterhouse from the Australian Shareholders Association enumerates the reasons why we need a plan and what should be included.

In Steppin’ Out we head to Adelaide to speak to Vicki Couzens from Vision Australia Radio station – 5RPH. Vicki lost her sight as an infant, but her blindness hasn’t stopped her from helping other print-handicapped listeners by contributing as a presenter on the station’s reading service.
