S3 E1: NAIDOC Week | Baby Boomers' Guide to Life in the 21st Century

In the opening episode of Season 3, we celebrate NAIDOC Week with renowned indigenous activist, Professor Gary Foley. An Aboriginal Gumbainggir, Foley is an academic, writer and actor, best known for establishing the Aboriginal Tent Embassy in Canberra in 1972 and the Aboriginal Legal Service in Sydney.

Lex Marinos and Patricia ‘Little Pattie’ Amphlett also talk this week about what’s good for you with the delightful and very clever, Dr Norman Swan. He tells us what we need to do to get the best out of life as we get older.

In our Money Extra segment Alice Mantel, author of Every Woman’s Guide to Retirement, talks about grey divorces and gives tips around the financial aspect of splitting up.

In Jeff’s Café we meet Susan, David and Jolan – representatives from the Boomer, Gen X and Millennial generations. They talk about this week’s theme – getting the most out of life as we age through diet and excercise.

And finally, in our brand new Steppin’ Out segment, we head to Devonport in Tasmania to chat with local Brian Shearston. Chairman of Coast FM, Brian is a volunteer with the community station and its chief technical officer.
